General information: The primary popularity of Coltsfoot is a minimizing of asthma-related wheezing and reduction of the urge to cough and soothe a sore throat. An effective demulcent and expectorant herb, coltsfoot has been one of the most popular remedies for the treatment of a wide range of chest complaints -it is rich in mucilage.

The botanical name, Tussilago, signifies 'cough dispeller,' and Coltsfoot has been termed nature's best herb for the lungs.

Preparation: pour a cup of boiling water onto l-2 teaspoonfuls of the dried flowers of leaves and let infuse for l0 minutes. This should be drunk three times a day, as hot as possible.
